GEOCRIS Corporation traces its roots from the entrepreneurial vision and technical leadership of its founder, Engr. Geovanni M. Tanaid. While formally established as a corporation in 2026, the company officially recognizes its corporate age and operational heritage beginning from its original foundation on August 31, 2017, marking nearly nine (9) years of continuous service and industry experience.

The organization initially began as a sole proprietorship under the name REBATA Engineering Services, founded and operated by Engr. Geovanni Tanaid. The company started by providing engineering, industrial, and technical support services to various clients in Mindanao, steadily building a reputation for reliability, technical competence, and commitment to quality workmanship.

As operations expanded and the organization transitioned into a broader industrial and construction enterprise, the business was formally incorporated on July 31, 2019, under the name GTRB Industrial Corporation. During this period, Engr. Geovanni Tanaid served as the company’s first President & CEO while concurrently acting as Chairman of the Board, spearheading the corporation’s growth, organizational development, and expansion into various engineering and industrial sectors.

In 2023, organizational leadership adjustments were implemented when Engr. Tanaid temporarily stepped down from his executive role to pursue a career opportunity as Assistant General Manager (AGM) of a packaging manufacturing company. During this transition, Mrs. Maricris M. Tanaid assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer, continuing the company’s operations and sustaining its commitment to clients and stakeholders.

By late 2025, significant organizational reforms and strategic restructuring initiatives were undertaken. These developments ultimately led to the early retirement of Engr. Geovanni Tanaid from corporate employment and his return to active leadership within the organization as President & CEO.

Following major organizational changes, including the resignation of two members of the Board of Directors of GTRB Industrial Corporation, a new corporate entity was established in January 2026 under the name GEOCRIS Corporation. The formation of GEOCRIS Corporation symbolizes the continuation and strengthening of the company’s long-term vision, mission, and aspirations under the renewed leadership of Engr. Geovanni Tanaid.

Today, GEOCRIS Corporation continues to uphold its commitment to engineering excellence, industrial reliability, and quality service delivery across various sectors. The company remains focused on sustainable growth, professional integrity, and nation-building through engineering, industrial, and construction solutions.

GEOCRIS Corporation engages in general construction and allied engineering activities, including but not limited to the construction, enlargement, repair, development, maintenance, and execution of works involving:

• * Piers and docks
• * Mines and shafts
• * Waterworks and utility systems
• * Railroads and railway structures
• * Iron, wood, masonry, and earth constructions

The corporation likewise undertakes bidding, execution, assignment, and implementation of contracts related to engineering, industrial, mechanical, electrical, civil, and allied technical services, including all activities necessary, proper, convenient, or incidental to the advancement of its corporate objectives.

Provided, however, that the corporation shall not engage in the construction of defense-related structures and locally funded government projects.
